It's actually $9.99. I have a friend who has it. It was a condition of
their merger with Cingular (or one of those guys).
$10 bucks....I might have to think about teminating my 15 year
dialup account with AT&T and get this DSL account. I've kept it for
the email address and backup connectivity but today, a backup
DSL account would be better. And on the road, there's no need for
dialup any more with all the wifi and nets around. Thanks for
the correction and info.
You might even get a dailup account for occasional use, anyway.
Since I moved to an iPhone, I no longer have tethered data to my laptop.
None of the wireless data plans resemble what I want to do (connected in
bursts one or two times a year). I ended up buying a USB modem for my
laptop. My ISP (Speakeasy) gives me 150 hours of dialup a month, which
should be sufficient for replying to email and such while on vacation.
