Okay, just kidding. I don't get it. Now I'm looking at a subnet ID of 167.190.1.0 with a mask of 255.255.248.0.
ID and Mask are: 10100111 10111110 00000001 00000000 11111111 11111111 11111000 00000000 This puts a network identifier bit in what the mask says should be a host bit. That doesn't make sense. Maybe my information is wrong? Or maybe there's some convention I'm not aware of, like, you just assume that the third octet in the net identifier is 00001000? No, that doesn't make sense either. -todd -- KPLUG-List@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
