I also have only one debt (my main mortgage). But, I use credit cards
for nearly everything, for two reasons. The primary is that I can now
track everything much better. The second is the additional protection
I get over other methods that might allow me to track the purchases

My Wells Fargo debit/check card give me more protections than a regular
Visa (including complete credit monitoring).
