I can name one such project, that, unfortunately, I am using.

Evolution. (Owned by Novell, which puts other questions in my mind about
it.)

I have to either use it or use M$ Windsucks + Outhouse for company
e-mail. I really don't like either choice, but Evolution on Linux is a
far cry better than the other choice.
