As some of you know, Linux Networx got bought by Silicon Graphics Inc.
Any thoughts on how that will affect the use of Linux? or news of
latest developments?
Are you under the impression that Linux itself has somehow been
purchased by SGI?
That's not the case... Linux Networx was simply a vendor of
supercomputing clusters built on Linux. Their disappearance/ acquisition
is completely irrelevant to anyone except their customers
and employees, and perhaps SGI's stockholders.

No I was not under that impression since Linux is, of course, open
source. Linux Networx set up the networks using Linux. I was thinking of
the impact on the heavy users that were migrating toward open source with
their super computers applications. I guess I should have added the phase
"on large network users" as in - affect the use of Linux for large network
users. Sorry for the confusion.
