It sounds like a grand thing to offer -- and if the non-KPLUG SDCS
SIGS don't have a problem with it, by all means, do it. I think it
would be wise to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest or a
coup -- and to think ahead, that should we, or another SIG, choose to
leave SDCS, how much trouble will it be to disentangle everything.

And if they want to use different tools?

Heh.

Would this proposal involve hosting their web sites gratis, or for a
(much reduced) charge? Does one or the other absolve us from legal
obligations [e.g. the RIAA decides that the P2P-SIG (?) is evil -- do
we get in trouble if we're hosting the site for free but not if they
pay $1/year?] or reduce 'em?

If one of the other sigs makes a counter-offer, would we be insulted?

I'm generally in favor, with caveats. :)
