Well, plone does indeed have a feature called exactly that -- "smart folder", and it may fit your objective (perhaps with default expiration time?). I will play around with it a bit to see whether it (or something else) does the (er..) job, and try to recommend a recipe. It may be the right way is via a template, like the idea proposed for book reviews. Perhaps Tracy has a handle on it already, or perhaps he (or anyone?) can point in the right direction, and I can spend a few hours or days on it.
