Awsome!

Thanks for all the inputs!

I will retain the current configuration. One of the things I really liked is the simple fuel qty indicator - see through pipe!

I am glad that the CoG shift would not be a problem and the tank should be much safer during crashing. I do not expect to fly for very extended periods so the amount of fuel will not be a problem.

Regards

Deon

Deon,
CG shift with the header tank is a non -issue. I have a 12 US Gal. header tank
from RR in my KR2S and the change in trim from full to almost empty is only a
couple of bars on the trim indicator .
Aluminum is probably superior in chemical resistance from auto fuels and less
likely to leak than fibreglass. I would keep it . Not sure there is any safety
issue with it? Lets face it , sitting behind 12 gals of gas in a wood airplane
is inherently dangerous to begin with . Don't lose any sleep over it.

Hi Guys

The partial KR2 (original design) I have bought is fitted with an
aluminum fuel tank in front of the instrument panel. From the
information I have available this is not a good idea (shift of CoG, fire
danger etc.)
