Mission and particulars:
We’re stationed in WPB, Florida. I’m 5’10” at 220lbs, wife is 5’7” at 130 lbs.
We would like: a cross country plane for 3 to 5 hour legs to the north east
coast and as far west as NM; fast climb rate and cruise speed; relatively high
altitude operation; IFR; BRS; retractable, tail dragger or fixed tri gear is
fine; able to utilize a certified fuel injection engine; decent glide ratio;
hard to spin and correctable if happens, gentle positive dynamic stability and
a winning lottery ticket, please.
Sounds like you are looking for a Cirrus SR22.
If the BRS parachute is not a hard need, then I'd look at the Van's RV14
(2 seats) or the RV10 (4 seats).
For something slightly slower with more utility, and does have a BRS
parachute option, look at the Glasair Aviation Sportsman 2+2.
