Erm... technically the code works as expected and we don't have any regressions since the "-x" option is a new feature. The only issue is that it runs a bit slower for large files (hey, for smaller files it runs even faster than /usr/bin/digest ... :-) ) ... .. from an adminstrative+management point of view I fully agree with you... .. the only thing I wish is that we had more time... ;-/ Anyway... enough the wailing... we're going to address the issue... :-) .. is there anything else which needs to be fixed for libsum and/or /usr/bin/sum ? > There a couple of pithy phrases about this.
