Steve,

If you don't want to use the account feature - the best way is to end the 
dialled number with the account code
- as an example "Caller 1 Client 45 555-1212 6mins"  your client would dial 
(access code) 555-1212*45

This is then exported to your Call Accounting program via the smdr port - the 
account code is picked up as a delimiter and 
the next digits are the code - one drawback is if the client enters nothing - 
depending on how the CDR is configured you 
could end up with strange results
