I completely agree with Jim on this one. We have 2 other Panasonic dealers
in our small town. The piece that sets us apart is the fact that we stand
by the customer when they have an installation. Too many times we are
getting calls from other dealers' customers, wanting support and training.
We currently are the highest price, but we are also providing the most with
each installation. System Planning, Technicians that are not only
certified, but experienced, desi labeling, after install training, these are
the most important features! Not just the fact that Panasonic is a reliable
and stable product. That 30 unlimited support is vital to the succes of an
installation and future business.

Just after I was certified on the Panasonic KXTD series, one of the
competitors offered me a job with them. One thing they told me in the
interview is that when the install is happening, it should be done right, to
avoid any return visits. It's not just a matter of doing it right the first
time, it also entails making sure the customer knows what they have!
Needless to say, I did not take the job with a company that does not provide
excellent customer service even though on the front end, their product is
less expensive.

Sorry to continue the venting, but it is a very valid vent.

Subject: KX-T: A proper installation

Any proper installation from a knowledgeable installer should not require
anyone to look elsewhere or anywhere for technical support or proper
programming or administration?
I am happy that I offer my clients at installation 30 days of unlimited
support & readministration they may require or request. These systems are
complicated enough that most customers do not understand what they can do,
or what they want them to do until they get them installed and then play
with then for a while. How can someone sell and send a programmed file to a
site without onsite administration for employees and printing a custom
instruction manuals and desi strips? All this internet sales stuff has
created a clinetle of clueless panasonic consumers that buy the product from
the raves they get from this list and then get raped or have to fight for
months to get problems rectified that should have been fixed the next day
from a trained installers. I have been blasted before by the certified/ not
certified installers & consumers so go ahead and do it again. But my
closing statement will still be you get WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If you want the
lowest bidder, he is HERE on the internet somewhere! I am not the lowest
bidder and I hope I never will be! Sorry for the Venting, but that is my
opinion........Jim
