Dear Sirs
One time only translation of key terms I think it might be helpful if some "key terms" would only be translated once in OpenOffice. This in order avoid having to translate the exact same term several times, because it is used at many places, but also in order to assure that the same thing is always translated the same way (so things will be coherent). For example 'Navigator',is used at many places and could be translated only one time. Mathematical function names would very much benefit form being translated only once, so one assure that the exact same term is used everywhere including in the help text. Examples of key terms: Navigator Select Propterties Page Bold Italic Font Copy Cut Paste Spreadsheet Text document Drawing Presentation "Direct translation" I think that it would be very helpful if it would be possibly to right click, or combine a click with pushing some control key on the keyboard, on a text in OpenOffice and then get a pop-up with a sort of Pootle alike interface where one can review and modify the translation. This solution would make it easy to correct errors, and also to make translations because one would know the exact context of the text. Also, the result will be immediate. Also, I think it is important to have a good search function so that one quickly can find other places where the same word has been translated, so one can check that the same word has been translated as wanted at other places, and assure that the translation is coherent thorughout the whole OpenOffice, including the help text. Pootle search function The Pootle search fuction should be better. Now, one can not even select/deselect if the search should be case sensitive. Also, wild card searches and logic expressions (AND, OR, NOT) are highly needed for efficient search. History Maybe it would be good to have some kind of history of changes of the translation? Suffix '_ADD' in OpenOffice Calc function guide I have seen that the suffix _ADD is used on several functions in the function guide of OpenOffice Calc. I think _ADD means that the functions are working according to Microsoft Exel standard, while the functions without this suffix are working according to international standard. There are especially many functions with _ADD in the category of Finance. I think that it would be helpful that the fuction guide has some information of the difference between the functions with _ADD and without. In the 'inline' help. I do not understand the choice of _ADD. It does not seem to have anything to do with addition. I would have called it _MS (for microsoft). Your Sincerely, Stefan
