And yes, while I was searching for Asturian, Basque, Galician flags,
which were included in my dropdown list a few days ago as I wrote my
conclusion, I found that these are official flagss too. But back to
20--30 years, the only thing I 'knew' about your distant land is that
Bask people were fighting for their rights. That's why I used the word
'similar', not 'same' to Tamil.
And Irish people were fighting too. What flag to use?
And nowadays we can see the Scottish fight, which was not mentioned
previously, but the language is in the aoo dropdown list too.
And yet another strange case is the Moldavian case, where there is a
national flag but the language was deleted from the iso codes.
My homeland faces its difficulties too.
So, these many similar and unique and complex situations resulted my
conclusion: not to use flags...
(And one more yes, working on the Galician part I found it is a 'little
India'. Region within a country, using different languages, which are
available outisde of its borders too. As you wrote for Asturia.)
May I ask a little help from you?
Under this link: http://www.yohey.hu/aoo/xx_klodge_v02.php you can find
the actual test phase of isoHUnter language selector. If you select
Asturian, Bacque, Galician you can see a 'Click here to translate' link.
It only works for email client /Outlook, Thunderbird, Opera, Bat, etc./
users and gives the list of language names to translate. So, whether it
is working for you or not, could you contribute to the list by
translating language names into Asturian, Bacque, Galician AND Catalan?
(Catalan is not yet on the list, it will be added at the end, when
everything works fine. Catalan was the very one which made me start
testing this selector. :) /
