I do, Marcus! It's just an exchange of reasons... And we're doing that respectfully.

I'm approaching this particular case from a user's perspective (although I may be wrong, so the more opinions and experiences the better). I'm using AOO myself a lot, especially the Writer, and I never think of "direct" when inserting footnotes via the icon.

Peace,

Aivaras

Or "Print File Directly" as icon in top toolbar compared with "File - Print...". ;-) We can of course go on but it wouldn't help.

So, we can keep the addition or leave it.

I'm just telling you just my opinion. Please respect this.

Thanks

Marcus

As a matter of fact, I drop "Directly" intentionally, as it adds nothing
and is superfluous. "Insert Footnote" means just that.

the additional "directly" shows the user that the event is done
without any further requests.

Please compare with the "Export Directly as PDF" icon in the top
toolbar and "Export as PDF" in the File menu.

This should be kept.

My 2 ct.

The text should actually be "Insert Footnote".
Should be: "Insert Footnote Directly"
