I think there is no problem. I made a css map of my old high school and I had no problems.
The issue of using hammer as a floor deisgn are the measurements. You can get a nice aproximate but you won't be able to find out exactly the distances within objects so it won't be definitive for an architect or people like that. It could be usefull to see how it would look with lighting, some props (and zombies), so give it a go, although due monday is gonna be quite stressfull to make a finalized relatively polished map I hope this helps and tackles some of your questions Enviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de Telcel -----Original Message----- From: AJ Hallmon <[email protected]> Sender: [email protected] Date: Wed, 9 Nov 2011 08:26:48 To: Left 4 Dead Modder List<[email protected]> Reply-To: Left 4 Dead Modder List <[email protected]> Subject: [L4Dmapper] Source Engine Used for 3D visualization project? A (high school) teacher of mine asked for my assistance on a college project in which she has to create a floor plan of a school tech center. I agreed to help her and also mentioned I can create a 3d visualization of the floor plan, using the Source Engine. I was wondering on the legality of doing so. I will be creating the visualization using L4D2 including some L4D2 models as well as custom models. I nor the teacher is getting paid for the project, but it will be used for a college project. Please respond as soon as possible please, as the project is due Monday.
