An idea occurred to me. As near as I can tell, right now the only indication that content you have subscribed to has updated is seeing Steam downloading "L4D2 Workshop Content," or upon directly noticing a change with that particular add-on in-game. Beyond that, there is no real indication of "This campaign has updated, I should play it and see what's changed!" Would it be possible (or even desirable?) for the Steam Update popup window, in addition to notifying users that a game is on sale, having a free weekend, etc., to notify users that a subscribed workshop addon has been updated?
I realize that this could conceivably result in users getting a barrage of these notifications, especially if they've subscribed to a lot of workshop content (maybe it could be opt-in or opt-out?), but I was curious whether it might even be feasible or useful. -- *Daniel "The Rabbit" Jordan* www.daniel-jordan.com _______________________________________________ L4Dmapper mailing list [email protected] https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/l4dmapper
