Ah right that's good to hear, thanks for the info, I wasn't aware of that.
Where is this all info getting released? If I right-click on L4D2 Authoring
Tools in Steam and then click View News, the last news update is 9th Nov
2012.

You shouldn't hopefully run into a data size limit Kev they just upped the
storage per addon to 2GB.

For me the main issue is that I can't even upload to the workshop. I've
tried to publish my previous campaign, One 4 Nine, but just get error code
25 and can't find any information at all about what that means. After half
an hour searching on the Steam forums and Google I just gave up. There
really needs to be a convenient link in the workshop manager itself to
remove all the frustration of tracking down obscure error codes.
The number of parts that larger campaigns have to be split into really
isn't very helpful or intuitive as Arthur has stated. The campaign I'm
working on, The Bloody Moors, is currently running at a 750mb vpk size. I
can't imagine that it's going to work well requiring people to subscribe
to
about 10 different files, with feedback from players spread around all the
different pages. Presumably there is a technical issue requiring large
campaigns to be split, but ideally this needs to be simply hidden from the
person subscribing. It should just look like one campaign in the workshop,
even if under-the-hood it's split into multiple files.

Now that it has been up and running for a little bit.
What issues are people having? Is there a reason you aren't using it?
What can we change to help?
One change coming - we will be allowing mods to run on our servers in
co-op but not versus.
We will also be working with some 3rd party server companies to get
free/low cost options for communities.
The reasoning here is, with the custom campaigns and new stuff we are
adding, the ability to broadcast your config in a concise matter will be
tough so by letting you run a server, you can set that up and broadcast to
the community outside of match making the status.
We are also going back to featuring campaigns on our servers starting this
week. Let me know if you would be interested in seeing yours featured -
for that you have to be in the workshop.
We are also using this list less and the new forums more - would it be
helpful to have a dedicated modding/mapping forum and have the list
discussions there?
Lastly, if you have been around and want to be in the beta group for the
new scripting tools coming out - let me know by replying privately to me
and please include a link with your current work. We are looking to
distribute these first to experienced modders and then open it up to
people
less familiar with the current tools.
thanks
