Your campaign is larger than 200MB, which is a limit for individual vpk
file that can be uploaded. Coud be that the error is from it.
Unfortunately you have to pack it up again in 2 parts as a collection.

Oh damn... I've been trying to upload Haunted Forest for hours now... but
the workshop uploader thing keept saying:
Publishing file.... and then it aborts and says "Failed to publish file!
Error code: 25"
Any idea what that means?

I have unfortunately not yet been able to put Haunted Forest on the
workshop. I really need to look into that.
I'm also working on a new campaign, but haven't mapped in a while. So much
work to do in real life... pff I wish I could quit my job and make maps :-D
And what's this "new forums" you're talking about... did I miss something?
You mean the custom campaign forums on the Steam forums?

That's a good idea. With a game like Skyrim you have the launcher applet
to
give you that feedback. In a game like L4D/2 It would be nice to have a
menu sub-item that deals with subscribed mods.

An idea occurred to me. As near as I can tell, right now the only
indication that content you have subscribed to has updated is seeing
Steam
downloading "L4D2 Workshop Content," or upon directly noticing a change
with that particular add-on in-game. Beyond that, there is no real
indication of "This campaign has updated, I should play it and see
what's
changed!" Would it be possible (or even desirable?) for the Steam Update
popup window, in addition to notifying users that a game is on sale,
having
a free weekend, etc., to notify users that a subscribed workshop addon
has
been updated?
I realize that this could conceivably result in users getting a barrage
of
these notifications, especially if they've subscribed to a lot of
workshop
content (maybe it could be opt-in or opt-out?), but I was curious
whether
it might even be feasible or useful.
