Hi Lisa,   All I can say about Labradoodles is that my husband wanted to find a good family dog that didn't shed (we have a 3-year old and live in Texas) - after tons of research and thought, he found the perfect combo. Our labradoodle, Remy, is now 5 months old and she's very intelligent, and very much a puppy.  We've been going to puppy obedience school once a week for the past 5 weeks, and she's really easy to train.  She's very kid tolerant, as our daughter pulls her around by the skin on her face! I just joined the group a few minutes ago. My name is Lisa (although my internet alias has been HollyAnn for nearly 10 years now, so you can feel free to call me be either one or the other). I don't have a Labradoodle, or any dog for that matter, but my husband and I are looking into buying a puppy when we can get the chance to, and one of the breeds I was looking into were the Labradoodle (along with Labrador Retrievers). I've just been trying to see if I can find more information about Labradoodles, and maybe Goldendoodles as well, to see what differences there are between the two, the pro's and con's for them, and so on. We live in Vermont, and I haven't found a proper breeder of Labra/Goldendoodles yet to ask questions and inquire about the breed and their dogs as well...seems like the closest breeders are very far away from us, and personally, I'd like to see and meet the dogs, the breeder(s) and the puppies, rather than have one mailed to us. Any help there? As well as any help/tips on what Labra/Goldendooles are like and what kind of health issues that I should be aware of as well would be great!
