They make them around here. In fact, I made some several years ago. We used a strip of cloth about 5 x 36", sewn lenthwise. Close one end, and stitch across the tube about 12" from the closed end. Insert one tablespoon of the crystals in the tube. Sew across the tube about 12" from the other end, and then turn under and close the second end. The crystals are the ones used in potted plants to absorb water for slow release. They are available at plant nurseries or garden centers. When soaked in water, the one tablespoon will expand to fill the 2 x 12" middle section of the tube. The tube will stay wet and cool for hours. It takes several days to dry out completely for storage when the hot spell ends. Now, if I only remembered where I stored mine last time, I could use it. <G> Keep cool.
