Just a thought - isn't the old remedy for wasps and bee-stings something like:
Vinegar for wasps, and bicarb(onate of soda) for bees. The alliteration of v/w and b/b is supposed to help the memory I think. Apparently, you wipe the bee sting with bicarb made into a solution with water, and just wipe the wasp sting with vinegar - in both cases, having removed the sting. Carol - in Suffolk UK.
