The couple were from Finland - I ended up buying the travel set minus the bobbins (which meant it was just about affordable to me) and have to say that it is my favourite pillow at the moment. I'm working a piece that needs to be 2.5 yards in length, so the roller with its ratchet movement is perfect - and, Tamara, I have 22 pairs of Midlands travel bobbins (mostly SMP "cubs") on it.

Needlelace makes me feel travel sick, tatting on a train results in the conductor wishing to check your ticket just as you are mid-ring, I haven't done any serious crochet in ages (but again, needing to follow a chart, it makes me feel icky) and I can't stand knitting. My travel pillow (as above) sits on the table provided by the airline style seats on our trains, and with about three-quarters of an hour to spare (between the train coming in, and arrival at my home station) got a reasonable amount done, including having two schoolboys engrossed in what I was doing, on my way home after visiting Karen Butler in Coventry earlier in the year. It is worth the effort, even if you only do a small amount, in spreading the word! -- Jane Partridge - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
