Tamara, I'm sorry, but I'm laughing so much!! Not at you, but at the Yahoo system. I fell foul of it some months ago. Our local branch of the Guild wanted to trial emailing copies of the bulletin to save production and postage costs. The bulletin wouldn't fit in my usual account with all the other letters there, so I opened a special Yahoo account. I put in my date of birth, "secret" question, etc., etc. And I actually got in there - once! When I tried to open it again, I got the "you've put in wrong details" message. It seemed to be implying it was the password at fault, so I tried all sorts of combinations, to no avail. So decided to change the password...however, when I did that, I had to verify my personal details. Oh no! I must've made a mistake when entering my birthdate (keep forgetting that if I use a mouse scroll button that changes the settings on these sorts of pages). So here I was, going round and round in circles - if you can't do this, do that. But to do that, I first needed to do this...
Some days later, I contacted Yahoo - they wanted my personal details before they'd help me - and the (correct) personal details didn't marry up with what they had for that account, so they wouldn't help. So what do I do?????? I scream in frustration!! The answer was to open another (for me, a third!) Yahoo account. So how many more unaccessed accounts are sitting un-used on the Yahoo system because of similar typographical errors???? Hope you get sorted out soon!!
