Hi everyone Is anyone working on a long lace right now? I'm looking for company. I'm not making a very long lace at all, only 1 metre, for a garter, but my it seems slow going. Centimetre by centimetre. It is a Torchon pattern, with beading (that is, holes for ribbon) down the middle, rather than a footside, so each side is the same, worked to the centre and criss-cross a few pairs for the beading. It wouldn't be my choice for recreational lace; the pattern was chosen for a niece's wedding. I'm now at 22 centimetres. I have a small pin stuck in at the 30 cm. mark which looks a very long way away! I'll go now, and work another couple of cm. -- bye for now Bev in Sooke BC (on Vancouver Island, west coast of Canada) Cdn. floral bobbins www.woodhavenbobbins.com
