Clay, thank you for describing this, I have never head of using the 2 cloths
down the side, only the one straight across and pinned. That might make
life easier in the future. It isn't often I have problems with the side
pins, just occasionaly, but I think it would be better anyway to use the 3
as you describe.

you then "dress"
the pillow with cloth. A cloth is placed _over_ the pricking so that the
edge runs parallel with one side of the pricking, and is pinned firmly at
the top and bottom - but preferably not through the pricking. The cloth
is then folded back over these pins, revealing the pricking. If you have
placed the pins holding the cloth properly, then this cloth covers the
pins holding your pricking in place on that side. You repeat this for the
other side.
