Hi All,
Just to clarify, I am not frightened of the hand-sewing - my first love
(BBL - Before Bobbin Lace) was sewing and embroidery - it's just that I have
arthritis in my hands, and they get very painful when I try to do fine
sewing now, and it also makes the stitches less than perfect. But the
machine stitches are always all the same size and regular, so although I do
know it isn't traditional, it seems a better way for me to go most times.

I've never been frightened of mounting lace since.
