David, can you enlighten us: what is "nunsense"?
Dear Agnes et al
"Nunsense" is a wonderful American musical set in the convent of the
Sisters of Hoboken. They are in a most unfortunate situation. You
see, their cook, Sister Julia (Child of God) made some of her famous
Vyshesoise soup (How on earth do you spell that :) Anyway 52 of the
nuns dropped dead from food poisoning.
They managed to bury 48 of them, but then Mother Superior decided to
buy a new Video recorder for the convent and so they ran out of
money. The remaining 4 nuns are currently being stored in the freezer
in the kitchen, and so they are having a charity concert in order to
raise the funds to bury them.
It's a hilarious story, and the problem is all solved when Sister
Amnesia (who can't remember even her name since a crucifix fell on
her head) is singing a country and western number in their concert
and suddenly everything comes back. She is really Sister Mary Paul
who had won a fabulous competition at Nashville and then disappeared.
She's really very wealthy.
The music is fabulous and of course my entire ensemble will have to
wear habits :)
Apologies if this offends you Sr. Claire - but I really think you'd love it

Am also madly rehearsing and MD-ing "Nunsense" 2 or 3 nights a week
as well. Can't wait to get into my habit.
