I was able to attend the pope's Mass in Jerusalem this week. Because of my participation in the logistics and infrastructure work in the weeks that preceded his arrival, I was given a seat in the VIP section, where I had a great view of everything.
Also in the VIP section were the Knights and Dames of the Holy Sepulcher, an honorary and charitable order. They arrived in their traditional costumes, which included black lace headcoverings for the Dames. One of them was wearing a very impressive mantilla.
