My Dad had a suggestion for keeping my wood bobbins lubricated (he's an old woodworker from way back), It is only good for a couple bobbins at a time the trick is to rub the bobbin on the side of your nose (provided you aren't painted up) :) it does work :) A question of my own. I have a couple dozen Dutch bobbins, beautifully turned, and most of them have incredible silver inlays. Actually the maker used old silverware (lovely patterns) and inlayed it with unbelievable skill. How on earth do I clean the silver without damaging the wood? None of the silver is in a spot where you would normally handle it so it does get tarnished. Any suggestions? Thanks. Sharon on Vancouver Island
