I would use a soft , non-impregnated, cloth or tissue, and gently rub the silver parts. With the impregnated cloth, there is a risk of some of the polish coming off onto the wood. I have sterling silver wired bobbins, and as long as I use them, the silver stays shiny, but when not in use
goes somewhat dirty, and this is what I do.

Hi Fellow Spiders!

I would use a silver polish cloth made just for jewelry. I don't think the
polish embeded in the cloth would hurt the wood part. The bobbins sound
lovely!

I have a couple dozen Dutch bobbins, beautifully turned, and most of them have
incredible silver inlays. Actually the maker used old silverware (lovely
patterns) and inlayed it with unbelievable skill. . Sharon on Vancouver
