Whenever you clean silver, you remove a small amount of metal. If the silver is patterned, the pattern will gradually be worn away.

If you use the bobbins regularly, then the silver parts will probably stay clean. If you store them, keep them in a box with a couple of anti-tarnish squares once they are clean. Keeping the same air in the box helps as well i.e.don't open it too often. I've got a couple of silver chain necklaces with an anti-tarnish square in each box and they've stayed bright for the past two years.
