Hi Katelyn, I'm sure our Spanish lacemakers will join in this discussion. As a primary user of cookie and Honiton pillows, I have used the Spanish bolster. I used to demonstrate at a Spanish colonial/territorial living history museum and made lace on the bolster. There were a few challenges, mostly bobbin control, but it worked out. I felt like a nine armed klutz that couldn't control myself. Eventually, with the hours of practice and peaceful setting, it became second nature. Try it! It's fun! Laura Sandison New Mexico, USA
