One thing no-one has mentioned is that out-of-print books aren't the only good and interesting books available. No-one has mentioned the current excellent books which are currently in print and earning a tiny amount of royalties for the authors, many of whom are on Arachne.

Going to the web sites of any of the suppliers who sell books such as Roseground, Van Sciver, and the German pubisher/bookseller Barbara Fay all have a large range of currently in-print books. There are other sellers who sell books. Some suppliers also sell out-of-print books as well. Amazon isn't the only source of books whether new or secondhand through their marketplace sellers, and they're not always accurate anyway.

I've also noticed that some previously out-of-print books have come back into print - e.g. three Bedfordshire books by Barbara Underwood: Traditional Bedfordshire Lace - Technique & Patterns, Introducing Traditional Bedfordshire Lace in 20 Lessons, and Traditional Bedfordshire Lace - Technique & Patterns.
