I've got the Aussies iphone and it isnt behaving hence the reply which just sent itself before id finished or removed the original post (sorry Avital).
i was trying to say that studies that i have recently been reading for work have shown that whilst people download illegally they often then buy more than. it also brings up the moral issue of second hand book where the author doesn't benefit from the resale. regarding locking pdfs. pass wording prevents copying and printing. flip books can prevent copying and printing. and if you make lace you want to print the pricking which becomes the issue. read only CDs don't prevent copying. and if i view a pdf on my ipad i can screen print and then paper print any page as a jpg. in the end an ebook is as fallible as a paper book. however, if a book is sort after but out if print surely ebook would allow it back into circulation which could be a good thing.
