If I configure the iwi0 interface using inetmenu, it works.

Then I unconfigure it.  If i run wificonfig as above I apparently
turn off the radio but the wireless indicator on the notebook
stays lit (it is off after booting Solaris until I configure the
interface).

Thanks for the work on wireless - it is a REALLY NICE 
IMPROVEMENT for Solaris x86 on notebooks.
