Hello,

I am new to latex2html. I wanted to run it under OS/2. I found at
http://www.kingston.ac.uk/%7Ema_s447/comp/l2h-notes/node1.html
some usefull information about installing latex2html (thanks for the
link, Uli). I got latex2html-98_1_tar and installed it.

I also installed as described perl (version 5.004_55 built for
os2), testperl runs.

The install-test script runs, but it complains about texexpand:

>Making f:/apps/latex2html/texexpand executable...
>Error: Could not make f:/apps/latex2html/texexpand executable.

I don't think this is really a problem, since texexpand is there and it
is executable. This must be something with chmod.

configure-pstoimg complains about Ghostcript:

>Fatal Error: "f:\apps\gs\gsos2.exe" not found. Pstoimg won't work.
> You must have Ghostscript installed on your system. You can

But Ghostcript is installed and path is correct (i tried everything).

Finally, when trying to convert a simple latex file (no math, only text),
i always get an error:

>The getpwuid function is unimplemented at f:/apps/latex2html/latex2html
>line 11723.

Some ideas what's going wrong ?

Thanks,
Wilson.
