I've now had this problem with Lazarus 0.9.21, 0.9.24, 0.9.25
snapshot 2008-5-21 and SVN -2008-05-22 8:00am pdt running on i386
Linux SuSE 9.0 & Debian 4.0 and on two different computers. For some
reason Lazarus seems unable to determine the left and top coordinates
of windows. You see this in the object inspector and "environment |
environment options | window".

I guess you mean: pressing button 'get position'.

Yes. Or if you move a form window about the object inspector doesn't show the change in window position. When you save and reload the form window reverts to the previous location. As you might guess using the "restore window geometry" doesn't work and some times all IDE windows revert to 0, 0.

At one point in the distant past these
things used to work but over the last couple of years they stopped.
Is this behavior seen by anyone else?

It works here under ubuntu gtk2.
Is the object inspector visible?

Yes. Could this have something to do with the window manager?
