"restore window geometry" has never worked for me. Well maybe I don't know exactly what it is supposed to do. What does work for me is to select "custom position" and then click "get position" button. I do this for each window I'm interested and it works fine. I do this under Windows (Win2000 & XP) and Linux (Ubuntu 6.04-7.10). > Yes. Could this have something to do with the window manager? I vary my window managers often. I use Gnome, FVWM2, XFCE... My process works with all of them.
