Above representation is suitable for documentation, but not for the
translation of menu entries or labels. As already suggested, a script or
a dedicated preprocessor could be used, to provide the Brasilian or
Portuguese version from the source texts, for compilation into final
documentation. Similar procedures could be used to create national
string resources from files with slashed format.
