Even the name of this threath shows clearly my interesst in color
clipping, it occurs in all brighness areas of color.
The german term Farbabriss is used as an discontinuity of hue,
while expectedly staying in the same hue in an gradient.
The term is very often used in the german eci list. Thanks for asking,
so I could try to clear here.

I used sRGB and CIE*Lab as start. The discontinuity grows from conversion
to conversion. I will send You and Marti the results offline to save
