Gerhard, good hint. Modified tifficc and converted grad.tif with all -c options: -c<0,1,2,3> - Precalculates transform (0=Off, 1=Normal, 2=Hi-res, 3=LoRes) [defaults to 1]
Off (noPrecalc) was the only showing, at least for me, no visible errors. All others: more or less like the example provided in my previous email - hue banding. I tested lcms-internal and -external XYZ profiles. There is an quality drawback with XYZ with lcms default settings. Marti, what would You recommend? regards Kai-Uwe Am 19.09.04, 23:55 +0200 schrieb Gerhard Fuernkranz: > > Kai-Uwe, > > which flags did you pass to cmsCreateTransform() ? > cmsFLAGS_NOTPRECALC? > cmsFLAGS_HIGHRESPRECALC? > > Precalculated device links are not too accurate for a XYZ or linear RGB space. > cmsFLAGS_NOTPRECALC will give the best result, but is slower. > > See atachment. > > Best Regards, > Gerhard > > > Kai-Uwe Behrmann schrieb: > > > Gerhard, Marti, > > > > here comes two versions of the sRGB->XYZ conversion. grad_XYZ.tif is saved > > as XYZ with an invalid photometric tag of RGB.
