The best matte paper that we have found was the archival without gloss option...but the price is more than 2 times higher than the photo quality paper..
also, there is one other setting i forgot to ask about : gloss.
so far I am generally pretty happy with gloss off when using epsons archival/enhanced matte paper. but with photo paper, and/or gloss ... I have been less then impressed.
