We should get even better results, if somebody produce an additional IT-8 chart as inkjet-print, measure this with a spectrophotometer and sells this chart incl. characterization-data like a photographic IT-8 chart incl. the measurement-data.

My experience was that it did noticeably improve the quality of the
profile. If you're going to do this though, I wouldn't use an IT8.7/2
chart. It very poorly samples the colorspace. Generate something with
a lot more squares, more evenly spaced.
