Yep, I got the same canned response.  Unfortunately, the support
they have only works with ancient versions of Linux, it doesn't
work for the USB colorimeter, and it doesn't work for architectures
other than x86.  And, of course, it wouldn't work with LPROF.

If I could find a protocol spec, I could write a Linux driver
that would address all these issues.
