I joined this list last week while searching for any parallel
developments on ward directory programs. I have been developing an
XML-based directory & customizable membership tracking system for
several years now and the progress was so slow, due to time constraints,
that I wanted to see if I could enlist help, or find out if I was doing
redundant work.
Is anyone else working on an adaptable ward directory system that can
connect to the MLS, or at least ingest it's data export? I am not
interested in complex, database-centric solutions, as I want to
encourage developments in multiple outputs and all of the projects I've
seen thus far are too closed for easy adaptation.
I am also interested in the open source movement and I'm surprised that
I haven't heard of this forum before.
Currently, I am studying for a masters in Information Systems at BYU,
graduating next April, and working for a language learning research lab
on campus.
