Mr. Wolzack beat me to the punch ;-) ...im transfering
linux-2.4.0-test11.tar.gz to my debian box as I type this...
I just read Eric's emails and I had been curious beforehand if the older LRP
kernel patches might be needed...i think I now have my answear....I let this
list know what I find as well...

(I wouldnt normally dinker with the kernel but from what I've read 2.4.x has
a PPPoE driver that will elimentate the rather bastarized pppd / roaring
pengiun solution (nothing against roaring pengiun...its been reliable for
me...it just amazes me how much email i get from people having
problems...and being unable to help them because PPPoE is unreliable :-(  ))
also...as a side note...has anyone tried Babylon? (a pppd replacement)
