Using chassis ground as signal ground is not recommended, as the two may
differ significantly if an electrical short occurs or if you start
disconnecting parts out of sequence.
Remember, current flows in a loop... keep the loop small (area wise) and
use the appropriate ground references.
I haven't seen any schematics including an LD017... but the SST58SDnnn
made by SSTI uses pin 10 for WP#.
