I have the same trouble, made the switch to the 'latest' .lrp without
effect. I did find that issuing 'svi dhclient restart' enables both the old
and the new lrp to start successfully the second time.
My problem started after the cable provider put me on a new subnet. I
suspect a different server software is in use on this subnet, but of course
the tech support people know next to nothing. What were the circumstances
of your problem exactly? I'd like to find a pattern if I could. There
seems to be several of us with this problem now, maybe if we can collect the
information, the brain-trust can come up with a solution. I had wondered if
a timing problem could be at fault - perhaps someone could clarify what
would happen if a reply to the first request arrived after the second
request was issued?
