Here in the Big Apple, the city that never sleeps, where "sunrise" means "when the Sun is first visible over the buildings" (:-)), milk-carton timestamps are precise (not necessarily accurate) to one minute, but the law takes account only of the day, and says that the milk may be offered for sale until midnight (i.e. 2400) of the day specified.
